Material:
Glass Fabric
Reinforcement:
V4A wire
Coating:
PU-Alufix
Application Temperature:
up to 550 °C
Glass fabric with V4A wire reinforcement offers extremely high tear resistance and is used in applications where the material is subjected to high mechanical stresses such as vibrations, friction, or tension, along with high thermal loads. This material is particularly well-suited as fire protection fabric and as a base material for custom fire protection constructions like fire protection curtains or smoke barrier curtains.
The largest market for wire-reinforced glass fabrics includes fire protection curtains and smoke protection curtains, as the stainless steel wire provides the necessary strength to withstand conditions of up to 1000°C for 4 hours or more. Other applications include highly stressed, flexible compensators in turbines and other demanding systems. Our wire-reinforced glass fabrics can feature wire/glass yarns in one or both directions and may consist of 100% wire/glass yarns or varying amounts of standard glass yarns and wire/glass yarns. There are many different options for wire and yarn combinations with various fiber types, metals, and wire diameters.
We would be happy to advise you personally on this.
