Material:

Glass Fabric

Lamination:

Aluminum Foil

Application temperature:

up to 1000 °C radiant heat

Glass fabric with an additional aluminum foil coating has excellent thermal reflectance values at radiation temperatures up to 1000 °C. Optionally, these fabrics can also be equipped with a self-adhesive film on one side as a mounting aid. Typical products made from these materials include heat protection curtains, heat shields, compensators, thermal protection covers, and insulation for machinery and components, designed to protect against high radiation temperatures.

Technical Characteristics

  • The aluminum foil reflects heat and radiation, providing excellent thermal insulation properties and reducing heat transfer
  • High resistance to radiant heat up to 1000 °C; can reflect up to 90% of incoming thermal radiation
  • The foils are resistant to creasing
  • Resistant to UV radiation and splash water

Application Examples

  • Production of thermal insulation systems, e.g., as heat insulation for pipelines to minimize heat loss and improve the efficiency of heating systems
  • Protective covers for machines and equipment exposed to high temperatures
  • Protection of vehicle engines and exhaust systems from overheating and heat transfer to other vehicle components
  • Insulation of catalytic converters and exhaust systems to regulate temperature and improve efficiency
  • Protection of conveyor belts and other industrial equipment from heat damage
  • Protection of machinery and equipment from extreme temperatures and thermal impacts in foundries and melting works
