Technical Fabrics and High-Temperature Materials for Industry, Automotive Engineering & Plant Construction
Technical fabrics – including high-temperature-resistant materials such as E-glass, silica, para-aramid and preox-aramid – are indispensable materials in industry, automotive engineering and plant construction. They are used wherever extreme thermal, mechanical or chemical stresses occur – for example in heat protection, insulation, as sealing materials or for structural reinforcement. Our portfolio includes a wide range of technical textiles as well as custom-made cut parts and stamped parts – for temperature ranges exceeding 1200 °C. The materials are characterized by high dimensional stability, low smoke development, flame resistance and excellent processability – ideal for applications in process industries, mobility, energy technology and more.
Glass Fiber Fabrics
Glass fiber fabrics are made from three different types of glass and can withstand temperatures of over 1000 °C. They are known for their high heat resistance, low thermal conductivity and good chemical resistance, and can be further optimized for specific applications through additional coatings.
Aramid Fiber Fabrics
Aramid fibers are known for their extreme strength and heat resistance. They can withstand temperatures up to 350 °C and are highly resistant to abrasion and mechanical stress. These fabrics are lighter than glass fabrics but offer exceptionally high mechanical strength, making them especially suitable for demanding mechanical environments.
