Technical Fabrics for High-Temperature Applications in Industry and Mobility

Technical fabrics, including materials such as glass fabrics and aramid fabrics, play a crucial role in high-temperature applications in industry and mobility. These specialized fabrics are designed to withstand extreme conditions such as high temperatures, mechanical stresses, and chemical influences while being lightweight and robust. Their applications range from heat protection to the reinforcement of structures in demanding environments.

Glass Fiber Fabrics

Glass fiber fabrics are made from three different types of glass and can withstand temperatures of over 1000 °C. Glass fiber fabrics are characterized by high heat resistance, low thermal conductivity, and good chemical resistance, and they can achieve enhanced properties through additive coatings that optimize their application.

Aramid Fiber Fabrics

Aramid fibers are known for their extreme strength and heat resistance. They can withstand temperatures of up to 350 °C and are highly resistant to abrasion and mechanical stress. These fabrics are lighter than glass fabrics but offer exceptionally high mechanical strength, making them particularly well-suited for mechanically demanding environments.
