X-TYPE Fire Containment Blanket
The X-TYPE fire containment blanket is made from high-purity, high-temperature-resistant silicate fabric with a special SF coating. This fire containment blanket is specifically designed for active fire suppression and fire isolation, as well as for covering quarantine areas for lithium-ion battery-powered vehicles, meeting the highest standards for isolating and containing burning and damaged electric vehicles.
The X-TYPE fire containment blanket is made from high-purity silicate glass fiber with an SF specialty coating, which makes the material more durable and less susceptible to mechanical stress. As a quarantine blanket, the X-TYPE offers higher mechanical resilience and can withstand multiple uses without additional fire load. In the event of a fire during the quarantine period, this X-TYPE blanket, with its temperature resistance of up to 1200°C and short-term resistance up to 1600°C, ensures effective fire containment. The slightly breathable surface allows gases to escape during quarantine, preventing them from accumulating to a critical concentration beneath the blanket.

Technical Characteristics
- The X-TYPE fire containment blankets are suitable for direct use on burning electric cars and vehicles as well as for isolating burning lithium batteries, and feature enhanced properties for use in quarantine areas.
- Heat-resistant up to 1200°C, short-term up to 1600°C.
- Increased mechanical strength due to a dual SF coating.
- Gas-permeable surface for the controlled release of toxic and pyrolysis gases. No ballooning when applied to electric cars and vehicles.
- Developed and manufactured in Germany, 100% Made in Germany.
- Made from steel-reinforced Kevlar yarn, extremely tear-resistant and flame-retardant.
- Fire classification A1, according to DIN EN 13501-1.
- Constructed in accordance with DIN SPEC 91489.
- Equipped with four grip loops, delivered ready for use; red loops indicate the deployment direction.
- Depending on the fire load, the blankets are reusable.
